One of the classic Chinese treatments is fire massage. In Tibet, the same is known as "fire dragon therapy". It may also be translated as "fire massage", "steam massage fooliao", "huǒliáo" or "fire grilling therapy". Cover the lying client's body with wrap and a thick towel, and put another towel over it. It is to soak the alcohol in the towel. Perform on cold areas such as the back, legs, knees, stomach, and neck. Burn the flame for about one minute. To digest, cover the fire with a separately prepared water towel. The first is to warm the affected area and then massage by hand. It feels like being wrapped in a huge electric blanket. Another variation is to rub a swab soaked in alcohol with a stick and warm it. To be precise, it is more spiritual than using the heat of a fire to warm the body with the fire itself. It's a pretty wild way, but it works well for joint pain, digestive problems and insomnia. Flames are hot and are not a common practice in China. |
